The Board

The Mobile County Board of Education serves as the governing body of MCPSS. Board members are elected on a staggering basis, serving six-year terms. The Board consists of five members, each of whom represent a different geographical district. 

 We will work to create an environment in which local schools are empowered to develop policies and programs that meet the educational needs of their students, that support teachers, and that involve parents and communities in the education process.
